业界公认的 F1 赛车空力大师 Adrian Newey 在 2024 年初、宣布将会在今年年底离开 Red Bulls 车队后，尽管一度传出他已决定将和 Scuderia Ferrari (Ferrari 车队) 签约的消息；但是、最终显然 Aston Martin 开出的条件更有诚意，所以 Adrian Newey 昨晚 (9/10) 正式官宣加盟 Aston Martin F1 车队，到职日为 2025 年的 3 月 1 日，将主导 2026 年 Aston Martin F1 赛车的空力设计。
据报导，Adrian Newey 最终会选择加入 Aston Martin，除了因为 Aston Martin 董事长 Lawrence Stroll 积极热情的邀请外，还包括了含奖金上看 3,000 万英镑、F1 工程师史上最高的年薪 (签约 5 年)、2.5%的车队股份，以及实际的开发主导权。
至于 Adrian Newey 会不会技术性地协助 Aston Martin 量产超跑的开发，以及 2026 年 Aston Martin 的 F1 赛车是不是马上就会有跳跃式的进化？恐怕就只有时间能够证明了……
