沃尔沃S100与XC100（内部代号分别为V561和V556）或将落地大庆生产基地。该基地目前生产S90、S60、EX90和ES90等车型，其中S90为全球唯一生产基地。根据沃尔沃命名规则，“V”代表基于SPA2等新一代架构打造，首位数字“5”代表中大型车级别，因此S100与XC100预计为全新中大型轿车与SUV，定位高于现款S90和XC90。大庆基地已具备生产中大型及大型车辆并出口海外的能力。
